dimagehunter: About

Choo Meng Foo has been photographing since he was fifteen years old. At Sixteen he won the Best Print (Student Section) for Asian Salon competition and his work had been exhibited in the Singapore National Museum and the National University of Singapore.

His digital work first appeared in the SIA journal (Singapore Institute of Architects Journal) using Photoshop 1.0. Since then he has garnered commissioned work from architects and developers. Most recently his work on “Portraits of Arthropods” was featured in Asian Geographic, Silverlining, Wave and One magazine. He has been giving seminars and workshops on photography and digital photoshop technique. He has keen interest in shooting theatrical performances, cityscape and Arthropods. Some of his work have been collected in Singapore and abroad.

Notably Porject 49, a series of acrylic painting on MBS (Marina Bay Sands) explored the psychic of Singapore’s development. Some of his acrylic work had been bought by collectors and made into iPhone case and sold in MBS.

He was trained as an architect and urban designer, traveled extensively in Southeast Asia. He also love to write, paint, design and think. At 47 he decided to follow the publishing revolution, put his thought and works into printed books and eBooks. He continues to explore the world through photography, sketching, paintings, thinking and writing.
